ABSTRACT

Development ability process is caused by thinking about needed to repair and improve the assessment learning based on the class through portofolio evaluation as the response of symptom decreasing of quality process and learning result to attempts and prepare student of university becomes teacher candidate as professional evaluator. In addition, this development referred to responded the decreasing of learning process assessment based on the class that caused by the unpleasant of development in learning process in using of learning models that include the lecturers and the student of university as directly, that active and creative.

Nowadays, based on the principal which using a learning model will bring the transition in the process and result of learning. So, the focus of developing learning process is ”How to develop the student ability to arrange assessment based a class assessment through portofolio evaluation, either from process or the result of learning assessment SD subject to student of university S-1 third semester A PS PGSD FKIP Unila UPP Metro?”

The method of developing learning process used class action research, descriptive model as a cycle step, there are: Planning, treatment, observation and reflection. The subject is the student of University S-1 third semester A PS PGSD FKIP Unila UPP Metro academic year 2008. Data collection technique by the observation during treatment and documentation of investigation result of Student University completed with questionnaire. The result of developing learning process are: (1) for assessment of learning based on the class is needed planning with systematic program by portofolio evaluation. (2) The using of portofolio valuation can increase the ability of assessment arranging based on the class in aspect arranging the grill question an developing of question, arranging the assessment performance and arranging assessment portofolio for SD course. (3) The obstacle is: limited time, literature, and the student’s ability that most of Students University never done the developing assessment activity based on the class for SD course. All of the problem can solve with guidance in out of the lesson time. According to the development inquiry generally recommended that development assessment based on the class is needed to disseminate and used in PGSD learning to support increasing process and the learning result in SD. Meanwhile to prepare the student of University as a professional teacher candidate to do the learning process especially in arranging assessment mastery based on the class absolutely should be prossessed by ever teacher, and increased by the PTK activities.
